Denise Deshaw

Denise DeShaw lives with her husband and two children in Ottawa. She has worked with hearing parents who have Deaf children for many years. She is currently a professional ASL instructor at Carleton University, and translates various English documents to ASL on video. Prior to teaching ASL, Denise graduated from Gallaudet University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She has also worked as the Executive Director at the Ottawa Deaf Centre. In Denise’s free time, she enjoys scrapbooking, snowshoeing, camping, and taking long walks with her family and dogs.
